The purity and tranquility that the white-colored world brings always make people linger. The flowers in life that look as white and small as pearls must have left you an unforgettable impression. In fact, these beautiful plants are not far away from us; as long as you master the cultivation techniques, you can get close to them in your own courtyard too!

The editor's friend Fangfang is an expert flower grower, and she especially loves white flowers, such as pearl plum (Sorbaria sorbifolia), snow-in-June (Serissa japonica), and hosta (Hosta). Fangfang shares that especially after work, with these plants by her side, looking at these lovely things, her heart can become calmer.

1. Hosta

The hosta flower is white as jade, and its shape resembles the head of a hairpin, which is how it got its name. Its flowering period is from July to September, and it gives off a faint fragrance. Hosta belongs to the shade-loving plants and has strong cold resistance, but it does not tolerate strong sunlight; too much light easily makes it grow poorly. Hosta likes a shady and moist environment, and the soil can be fertile, breathable sandy soil. Apply liquid fertilizer once every half month, and water promptly after fertilizing to keep the potting soil moist.

2. Pearl plum (Sorbaria sorbifolia)

Pearl plum is elegant and beautiful in form, like a quiet woman. It is native to northern Asia, and it is planted in all parts of China. It has a strong ability to adapt to the environment, is cold-resistant, shade-tolerant, and also drought-tolerant. In winter it can withstand low temperatures of minus 25 degrees. It loves ample sunlight and grows quickly, so it can be pruned often to keep the branches and leaves attractive. Pearl plum basically belongs to extensive management and is relatively worry-free.

3. Bleeding heart vine (Clerodendrum thomsoniae)

The corolla of the bleeding heart vine is dark red, surrounded by white petals on the outer ring, which is very much like its name, hiding jewels within, and its ornamental value is very high. Its flowering period is from March to May. In cultivation, it likes a warm, humid environment with ample sunlight. In winter, the temperature should not be lower than 8 degrees. In hot weather, keep water sufficient, and it can grow healthily. The bleeding heart vine has a relatively large demand for water, so during the growing period watering should be sufficient, while in winter watering should be reduced to transition well through the dormant period.

4. Snow-in-June (Serissa japonica)

Snow-in-June is just like snowflakes; if you see it in spring and summer, it feels as if you have arrived in a season of heavy falling snow. Its daily management is very simple. In summer, pay attention to shading and maintain good ventilation. The potting soil should be moist, and spray more water on the leaf surface to increase humidity. In the spring and autumn growing seasons, fertilize once a month. When the weather is warm, move it outdoors for open-air cultivation as much as possible.
