Another year has passed, and my love for Aeoniums has only grown beyond control. I have slowly collected many, many of them. After a spring rain, looking at the Aeoniums gradually turning from their awkward "shamate" look into beauties, I feel an indescribable joy.

Before I started growing succulents, I was a World of Warcraft player, facing the computer every day, grinding mobs and running dungeons. I was also a guild leader, managing several hundred people (Alliance, Whisperwind Coast, District 4). After going AFK, I rarely logged in. I would like to take this opportunity to say hello to my old friends. I have not forgotten you, I just fell into the succulent pit. I will always remember our youthful days fighting battlegrounds together, running dungeons, and dancing in the tavern. May the Holy Light illuminate your path!

Don't you think so? The Aeoniums placed together carry rainwater, and when sunlight falls on their leaves, they glisten. Not even ten miles of spring breeze can compare to you!

Dutch small round leaf colors up super fast

The sunlight is good, snap a photo, and it amazed me for a very, very long time.

Halloween Aeonium, this is one of my favorite varieties! Very easy to grow, pups fast, easy to get through summer, and colors up quickly. Its most obvious features are the line on the leaf and the dot at the leaf center.

Black Copper Kettle

Red Copper Kettle

The ones above are my favorite Aeoniums, the Copper Kettle Aeonium. In my understanding, there are two types: Black Copper Kettle and Red Copper Kettle. Everyone is welcome to discuss together.

Gray Aeonium

Round-leaf Gray Aeonium

A newly risen aristocrat, the Red Fuji Aeonium. I have not yet been able to grow it very beautifully. Looking forward to a better state.

Green Cashmere, a cheap, easy-to-grow, and very beautiful variety. A must-have for beginners! Plant several of them. When dormant, they look like roses, extremely beautiful.

Yin-Yang Aeonium Variegated

Mirror Lion, I did not grow it well, its state is average, and its leaves are relatively thick. It is a rather different kind of Aeonium.

Lily Lili

Ice Feather, like a little bunch of greens, and also, it stinks terribly! A smell of feet, even smellier than Shaoxiu. I quickly put it back after taking photos.

Large-leaf Crowned Curve.

This one is unnamed, not Xiangfu. It also has a smell.

Aeoniums are quite variable, and their state is different in every season. They can go from tile green to very purple and very red, and just slightly increasing light is enough. This one is European Purple, also known as Purple Cashmere.

Recording its transformation all the way, Small-leaf Black Aeonium. Why is it called small-leaf? Because its leaves are smaller than those of ordinary Aeoniums! Blah blah blah, I am not too sure either.

A recently popular variety, Plum Puddy, a sister of Purple Cashmere, a product of swapped parents. It is very similar to Purple Cashmere, but I think the leaf shape and the way it looks when colored up are still not quite the same. Plum Puddy has pointed, short leaves, no metallic luster, and when colored up shows a rich plum color.

Shaoxiu cristata.

These several are all Shaoxiu, but they all show different states, with yellow-green, pork-liver color, and wine red. They are truly ever-changing.

Purple Cashmere cristata, snatched from a succulent friend, aha!

Voodoo Aeonium, still rather "wash-cut-blow" in look, just waiting for dormancy.

Ice Cashmere, with short fine fuzz on the surface.

Emerald City, lush green and also quite beautiful.

Egg Mountain Rose. Slowly wrapping up.

Starburst, one of the few variegated varieties I can keep alive. The others have passed away one after another. I pinched off the main head's flower, and unexpectedly it continued to push out flower stalks from below. I have completely given up treatment.

As for the soil mix, just refer to the one in the tub. All kinds of granules are fine, there is nothing specific. Half granules and half peat is enough. If there is no peat, coconut coir also works. If there is nothing at all, garden soil also works.

When you fall in love with Aeoniums, this is the situation: every day mixing soil, mixing soil, mixing soil, covered in dust. Aeoniums are all relatively large, so you have to buy many large pots to keep on hand. Unfortunately, I never have enough, and every day I am hunting for pots, hunting for pots, planting until heaven and earth go dark.

Some casual shots. Aeoniums have countless postures and can be very beautiful or very ugly. Give them some time and appreciate their different forms. To be honest, in the peak of summer some of my Aeoniums even became bare stems.

Regarding getting Aeoniums through summer, my suggestion is proper shading and rain protection. Do not let them get rained on, and even more so do not expose them to blazing sun. Control your own hands and do not always water. You can properly restrict water a bit, and place them in a cool, ventilated place, and there will be no problem. Of course, I cannot handle the variegated varieties, haha!

This is how every day of a flower farmer passes...

Friends celebrated my birthday for me. Knowing that I really like succulents, even the cake was custom-made in a succulent style. A big surprise.

In the world

the most tender confession

is not that I accompany you to the ends of the earth

but rather

that I send you a photo of a beautifully grown Aeonium forest, hahahahaha

The best fate in the world,

is having a companion you can talk with,

who never minds how much you talk,

never tires of you and never finds being together tiresome,

who will always stay by your side,

cares whether you are warm or cold, and understands your sorrows and joys.

Even the frog looks especially enchanted

There is a kind of encounter

that was never arranged, yet hearts understand each other

There is a kind of gaze

neither far nor near, yet always watching over

Mountains and waters meet, promised on the path,

your bright smiling face is the city-toppling warmth in my heart

I searched half a lifetime for spring, and when you smile, that is it.

A big group photo. Many varieties were not photographed individually and not explained one by one. After some time, when their state is better, I will complete the set. Finally, I will post a group photo of most of them. Let us leave it like this for now. Aeoniums have different states throughout the four seasons. Give them some time, and they will always amaze.
