Eiko Jones grew up in New Zealand and received his first SLR camera at age 14. As a teenager, Eiko Jones was deeply obsessed with photographing the natural environment around him, especially birds. In 1990, Eiko Jones took a long trip through Colombia and along the west coast of Alaska, and from that time on he began to focus on photographing coastal landscapes.
In 2011, Eiko Jones took part in a shark diving expedition, and it was this opportunity that led Eiko Jones to take his photographic perspective deep underwater. It turned out that in corners we humans can hardly reach, a different kind of beauty exists, waiting for him to capture with his lens!
Thanks to his use of light and his unique photographic perspective, Eiko Jones's underwater photography has a strongly surreal style. His work has won many industry awards and has been published repeatedly in National Geographic, the Daily Mail, various diving magazines and more. His photographic works are also sold around the world.
