How to care for a peace lily? Master these tips and the leaves won't wilt and will stay lush and green

There are four reasons why a peace lily wilts. First, improper lighting, so you need to maintain suitable light and provide some shade in summer. Second, humidity is too low, so you need to mist and sprinkle water to raise humidity. Third, the fertilizer is too strong or raw fertilizer was used, so you need to adjust it promptly and water with plain water after fertilizing. Finally, the temperature is unsuitable, so you need to adjust it to 12-25°C.
1. Provide suitable lighting
(1) Specific cause: If a peace lily kept indoors is suddenly moved outdoors and exposed to very strong light for a long period, the leaves may wilt.
(2) Solution: Immediately move it to a shaded place, and it may recover quickly. In subsequent care, provide suitable light in spring, autumn and winter. In summer, provide some shade.
2. Raise humidity
(1) Specific cause: The peace lily needs relatively high humidity to grow. If the humidity is too low and the air is too dry, the leaves may also wilt.
(2) Solution: Take measures to raise the humidity in the air, such as misting and sprinkling water. In addition, you can also cover the plant with a plastic bag to maintain humidity. However, if you use this method, you need to let it air out frequently.
3. Adjust the type or concentration of fertilizer
(1) Specific cause: If the fertilizer is too strong, or raw fertilizer is used, fertilizer burn is likely to occur, causing the peace lily leaves to wilt.
(2) Solution: Be sure to use fully rotted fertilizer. The concentration should not be too high either; apply a weak fertilizer. In addition, after fertilizing, it is best to water once with plain water.
4. Adjust the temperature
(1) Specific cause: Neither too high nor too low a temperature is acceptable. Specifically, when it is above 35°C or below 5°C, the peace lily leaves may wilt.
Solution: Adjust the temperature so that it stays within a suitable range, with 15 to 25°C being ideal.
