First Love, one of the classic varieties of Crassulaceae succulents, is a small to medium-sized plant. Its parentage is uncertain; it originated from a cross between Graptopetalum paraguayense and some species of Echeveria, and the Echeveria parent may be Echeveria 'Big Red'.

First Love

Because of its relatively easy care and propagation as well as its romantic pink leaf color, it is widely favored by succulent enthusiasts.

First Love

First Love is a small to medium-sized variety in the genus Echeveria. The leaves are loosely arranged in a rosette; they have a waxy white powdery bloom; the leaves are spoon-shaped, flat and slightly concave, with upturned tips; the appearance varies greatly under different lighting conditions. When grown outdoors (full sun), it is pink (possibly with a slight orange-yellow tone), while when grown indoors, it is blue-green. The flowers are pale yellow with red spots on the inside and have 5 petals. Older plants will produce side shoots from the base, becoming clustered plants.

First Love

It prefers an environment with ample light, warmth and dryness, and good ventilation; it is drought-tolerant, cold-tolerant, and tolerant of partial shade. Its main growing seasons are spring and autumn, with no obvious dormant period.
