That touch of new green in the home adds a vibrant, lively atmosphere to the household, and many friends like to keep a few potted plants at home. But as potted plants keep growing, the pot they are in may no longer meet the plant's growth needs. The current season is exactly the right time to repot potted plants, so how should you repot? Which potted plants need repotting?

Today we take you into the world of knowledge in "It's the Perfect Season to Repot, and You Too Can Be a Plant-Growing Expert!"

These potted plants need repotting!

1. When you notice that the flowers have bloomed and then withered, while there are still quite a few buds beside them that have not opened.

(If the potted plant's flowers have finished blooming yet there are still buds, it means the nutrients supplied are insufficient, so repotting is needed)

2. Carefully lift the potted plant and look at its roots; if you find the roots are brown.

(When the roots are brown, it means they have already aged and can no longer provide water and nutrients to the plant, so repotting is needed)

3. The potted plant's roots, though white, have filled the entire pot.

(If the roots have filled the pot, it means the plant's growing space is insufficient, so repotting is needed)

How do you choose the pot to repot into?

1. Choose a pot whose mouth diameter and height differ only slightly! Such a pot has fairly balanced water retention and breathability, and suits most plants.

2. The size of the pot mouth should be three fingers larger than the potted plant.

An introduction to the whole repotting process:

First (part of the brown roots need to be trimmed off), fill soil at the bottom of the pot until the potted plant is one finger's height below the pot's rim,

Then fill soil around the edges of the potted plant,

Finally, water the surrounding area with an appropriate amount (when watering, you can add a little potassium permanganate to play a sterilizing role).

And the potted plant repotting is done!!!

(For the filling soil, you can choose special potting soil; you can also choose soil from the wild, but it needs to be treated. Because wild soil contains insect eggs, grass seeds, pathogenic bacteria, etc., it needs to be scalded with boiling water, then used after it dries.)
