Grow Christmas cactus this way: not only will the leaves be thick and plump, but it will also bloom all over the pot

To get a Christmas cactus to bloom in a full pot, four points need attention. First, the most important is light. A bright spot indoors is best. Second, temperature, which needs to be between 15 and 25 degrees. Third, watering: wait until the potting soil is fairly dry before watering again; neither too early nor too late is more helpful for a full pot of blooms. Last is the potting soil: slightly acidic soil, and it is best to mix in some base fertilizer.
1. Light
To achieve a full pot of blooms, plenty of light is essential. However, this does not mean the longer the light exposure, the better. On the contrary, this is a short-day plant, so the light period should not exceed ten hours. If it blooms poorly, you can check whether its location is suitable or not.
Generally speaking, a bright spot indoors is most suitable. The light is neither too strong nor too weak, which is just right for it to bloom in a full pot. However, after it blooms, to extend the flowering time, you can place it in a somewhat shadier spot. Still, after dark, it should not be exposed to strong lamplight, as this is not good for forming flower buds, and a full pot of blooms will then be out of the question.
2. Temperature
Naturally, the most suitable temperature is good for it to bloom in a full pot. If the temperature is very low, it will take a very long time to produce flowers; if the temperature is too high, its flowering time will be relatively short. So, overall, neither is good for it to bloom in a full pot. The best is a range of 15 to 25.
3. Water
The general principle is to give it the necessary water, but do not let water accumulate. Wait until the potting soil is fairly dry, then water again. Generally, once every seven to ten days; when the temperature is high, the frequency may be slightly higher.
4. Potting soil and fertilizer
The choice of flower soil is also very important for it to bloom in a full pot. It is best to choose loose soil rich in nutrients and with good drainage; these are all basic requirements. According to its characteristics, there is another requirement: it should be acidic. Also, some base fertilizer should be placed at the bottom, such as some decomposed fertilizer, or animal manure and the like. Before the flowering period, to encourage it to bloom in a full pot, some phosphorus fertilizer needs to be used.
