Lüguangdeng (Mei), also known as Shumei, is one of the Eight Great Famous Varieties of Cymbidium ensifolium (Four-Season Orchid), an old cultivar, plum petal. Original price 300 yuan, current price 180 yuan per seedling, minimum order 2 seedlings, genuine, free shipping. Place of origin is Tongxin Township, Rongxian, Zigong, Sichuan. Selected and bred by Li Guangdong. Each seedling has 3-4 leaves; the leaf texture is glutinous, dark green and delicate, with sharp leaf tips; the plant form is loose; the leaf posture is semi-pendant; when naturally cultivated, its leaves sometimes slant outward with a wild character; the foot sheaths are silvery red; the pseudobulbs are round and solid; the flower buds are emerald green when they emerge from the soil, with a slight red at the tips. When the buds form, the flower buds have obvious white tips and obvious crystal tissue, like auspicious snow, appearing pomegranate-shaped; the top of the bud is flat as if cut with knife and scissors; the three outer sepals wrap together without showing the phoenix eye; the overlap is deeply hidden; the top is apple-head shaped. Its flower stalk is clear green with no mixed colors, and the bract sheaths are layer upon layer of progressive green. The leaves are 20-40 cm long and about 1-1.5 cm wide, with emerald green leaf color. The flower quality is a standard plum petal yellow-green flower, with a well-proportioned center, the three outer sepals with good root constriction and corner release, and thick glutinous petals. The flower stalk is emerald green with no mixed colors. When in full bloom, most do not turn their heads, but mostly face upward. The three outer sepals are tender green like jade, apple-headed, with rapid root constriction; the silkworm-moth stamens are smooth and clean as jade; the dragon-swallowing tongue is poised to strike; the center is harmonious, and the pairing with the apple-headed three outer sepals is exquisitely beautiful. This flower has strong bone strength, good flower retention, and thick glutinous petal flesh. In midsummer, when the green plum is in full bloom, admiring this flower is like a green plum blossoming in ice and snow, proudly spitting fragrance against the frost, laughing toward the sky; the scene truly makes one feel relaxed and joyful. So how was this plum found? Li Guangdong was a mindful person. After finding the yellow plum, Li thought: since the yellow plum came from Shiniulan, it would be better to collect more wild-collected plants from this place for cultivation, perhaps another good flower could be obtained. So Li took advantage of his convenient location and collected a large number of wild-collected plants from near Shiniulan, and finally in 1992 selected from them yet another exquisitely beautiful famous variety among Four-Season Orchids, hence called "Lüguangdeng," and together with "Huangguangdeng Mei" they are sister flowers.

Note: This flower tends to open variably; by personal statistics and estimate there is about a 30% chance of variable opening. Here "variable opening" refers to not being a standard plum petal, not that it opens as a common flower, though there is also a chance of opening as a common flower. The petals sometimes carry red coloring and sometimes do not. Because the variety is special, several different bloom forms are attached below for everyone's reference. To avoid controversy, to summarize in one sentence: the variety is no problem, the bloom depends on yourself!

Free shipping to most parts of the country; we bear the transport risk. The seedlings shipped are healthy and sturdy, disease-free, and do not contain the infectious virus known as orchid cancer, Odontoglossum ringspot virus (ORSV). The root system is well developed, the leaf color is jade green, the gloss is good, and it is fragrant, blooming and growing vigorously. Not tissue-cultured or hormone-treated seedlings. Strong adaptability to the environment, not prone to dying, very easy to grow.
