Is it better to grow peace lilies hydroponically or in soil? A comparison of the two care methods
1. Soil culture or hydroponics
In home cultivation, both hydroponics and soil culture are good choices. However, many flower lovers feel very torn when choosing between soil and water culture, wanting to know which of the two is actually better. But there is no standard answer to this question, because our purposes differ, the standards differ, and therefore the answers differ too.
2. From the perspective of ornamental value
If our main purpose is to beautify the indoor environment, then we should look at it from the angle of ornamental value. Then it is easy to find that hydroponics has higher ornamental value. Everyone has surely seen plants placed in a vase, set off by the transparent water and combined with sparkling light, looking very beautiful. Grown this way, the plant's root system can also look much whiter, cleaner and more attractive. Moreover, hydroponics is the most eco-friendly method and is also very simple and convenient.
3. From the perspective of the plant
For the plant itself, the soil culture method is still better. The reason is easy to understand: the nutrients contained in soil are more complete. Compared with water, soil contains some trace elements necessary for the plant's growth. Therefore, plants grown in soil grow more vigorously and taller, and also bloom more and bloom better. By comparison, hydroponically grown ones do not bloom as easily.
