On Huahua's way to work there are quite a few trees, and whenever the trees are covered in fruit, Huahua always thinks how nice it would be to have one at home. But some experts have actually made Huahua's idea come true - seeds picked up on the roadside turn into beautiful little potted plants in their hands.

Tamarind

Tamarind was Huahua's favorite little snack as a child, a must-have for sports day. But you probably didn't know that tamarind is the fruit of the tamarind tree (Tamarindus indica).

Planting method:

1. Peel out the tamarind seeds you picked up, soak them in water for 1-2 days, and they will be easy to clean.

2. Soak the cleaned tamarind in clean water.

3. Pick out the soaked seeds and use a wet paper towel to sprout them.

4. Place the sprouted seeds in the soil with the sprout tip facing down.

5. One week later, the sprouted tamarind.

6. Before long, the tamarind grows into a little potted plant!

Pine cone

Many friends like to pick up pine cones for decoration, but they don't know that pine cones can actually be used to make potted plants too!

Planting method:

1. Tap the pine cone you picked up a few times to knock out the pine nuts inside, and discard the shriveled ones.

2. Put the seeds in a wet paper towel to sprout, and once they have sprouted, move them into potting soil.

3. A little pine tree grows!

Ginkgo

Huahua loves ginkgo leaves the most, they look like little fans, adorably cute~

Planting method:

1. Prepare 2 plastic containers, one large and one small. Lay a layer of wet sphagnum moss in the small container, place the cracked ginkgo seeds on top, then put the small container into the large container to sprout.

2. Two weeks later, the ginkgo has grown fine roots, ready for water culture.

3. Put the sprouted ginkgo seeds into a slender water bottle filled with water, and after about half a month, they grow into slender-stemmed seedlings.

4. The grown ginkgo, its leaves are super beautiful!

Jackfruit

Jackfruit grows in the tropics, and friends in the north rarely get the chance to see a jackfruit tree, so why not grow a little potted plant at home yourself~

Planting method:

1. Wash the jackfruit seeds clean and soak them in a plastic container filled with clean water.

2. Peel the soaked jackfruit seeds and put them into the potting soil prepared in advance.

3. About one month later, the jackfruit has grown into a small seedling.

4. The jackfruit grown into a small tree - so this is what a jackfruit looks like!

Sago cycad

Sago cycad (Cycas revoluta), which is what we commonly call the iron tree. However, it's often said that the iron tree doesn't bloom for ten years, so the seeds aren't easy to find. But just in case~

Planting method:

1. Peel the sago cycad fruit and extract the seeds inside.

2. Use a small hammer to gently tap open a crack; this crack is where the sago cycad will sprout.

3. Place the sago cycad seeds flat on loose, breathable soil prepared in advance, and cover the surface of the seeds with another layer of soil.

4. After sprouting and growing into seedlings, transplant them into pots.

Loquat

Loquat is a common fruit in the south, not only tasty but also soothing to the lungs and good for coughs. The loquat tree is also very ornamental, so plant a pot at home quickly!

Planting method:

1. Wash the loquat seeds clean and soak them in clean water.

2. Put the soaked loquat seeds in a wet paper towel to sprout.

3. Place the sprouted loquat seeds flat into the soil with the sprout facing down.

4. The little loquat seedlings that pop up are bright green.

5. A little loquat potted plant is grown!
