Add this when watering, and the leaves will be glossy and green, more effective than fertiliser

In the eyes of plant growers, every item in daily life can be used to grow plants - eggshells, rice washing water, beer, fruit peels... anyway, whatever can be used, they use it all. But these free fertilisers actually work quite well.

1. Fish tank water

These days, growing plants and keeping fish have become part of people's lives. But when keeping fish, we need to change the water regularly, and we should not waste the old water - using it to water plants can produce a different effect, and it is especially suitable for pothos (Epipremnum aureum). Pothos has glossy green leaves, and in summer especially, it makes people unable to resist buying a few pots.

This is because fish tank water contains fish waste, and these substances happen to be exactly the nutrients pothos needs to grow. The fish tank water we pour out should first be left to stand in a basin for about a day, and then used on the pothos. If the water contains fertiliser, remember to add water to dilute it before use!

2. Rainwater

Rainwater and snow water are both close to neutral water and contain no minerals. They are very suitable for watering plants and can even help extend the lifespan of flowers. When it rains, we can catch it in a container, then let it sit for a while before using it to water plants. Never, just to save effort, put the plants directly out in the rain, otherwise the plant leaves will develop spots, and in severe cases this can even lead to death.

3. Overnight tea

More and more people are fond of drinking and tasting tea, but there is always the situation of not finishing the tea. At this time, absolutely do not pour it away, because overnight tea contains many elements that are very useful for flower growth. However, we must first ferment it, and then use it on the plants!

Put it into a container, but do not screw the lid on too tightly, otherwise the gas inside cannot be released and it can easily explode. Generally it can finish fermenting in about a week. When using it, remember to add water to dilute it before use, otherwise it will burn the plants.

If we want to use rice washing water and beer to water flowers, we must also add water to dilute them, so that they can do their job. After mixing beer with water, it can also be used to wipe plant leaves, which can make the leaves more glossy
