-Plenty of water, plenty of fertilizer, plenty of sun-

Many people say that jasmine cannot be killed by sun, and there is a certain truth to this. To put it simply, caring for jasmine means plenty of water, plenty of fertilizer, and plenty of sun. The more light it gets, the faster it grows and the more fragrant the flowers are.

Potted jasmine requires good drainage, otherwise a heavy watering cannot drain away and the roots will rot. Generally use a mix of 4 parts leaf mold, 3 parts garden soil, 2 parts river sand, and 1 part organic fertilizer, and the base fertilizer should be sufficient.

On the premise of ensuring a medium with good drainage, watering can be appropriately increased in spring and autumn. Follow the principle of watering when dry and stopping when wet; as long as the surface of the potting soil turns pale, you can water. In summer, water in both the morning and evening, and also spray the leaves 1-2 times to increase humidity.

It is important to note that jasmine likes an acidic environment. During the growing season, apply a 0.2% ferrous sulfate aqueous solution once every half month, which can prevent the leaves from turning yellow. Jasmine also likes fertilizer, so during the growing season it can be fertilized once a week. Starting in June, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers should be the main ones, and fertilizing should stop in October.

Plenty of sun means that jasmine has a relatively high demand for light. Jasmine is not tolerant of shade; insufficient light easily leads to leggy growth and no flowering or few flowers. Therefore, sufficient light is needed, and full-day sun care is best. During high summer temperatures, if you can ensure thorough watering in the morning and evening, full-day sun is also fine. Many flower growers have jasmine die from sun exposure in summer; the possible reasons are that the jasmine seedlings are small and not tolerant of sun, or they are suddenly exposed to strong sun without a process of adaptation, or the water cannot keep up. If you are not confident, you can provide appropriate shade at noon, or place it in a spot with half-day sun to care for it, avoiding the sun at exactly noon.

-Jasmine pruning-

Besides care, pruning jasmine is also relatively important.

Jasmine plants 3-6 years old bloom the most, and after that they gradually age, so old plants need heavy pruning for renewal. Before sprouting, shorten last year's branches, keeping 10-15 cm at the base, to encourage new branches. After the new branches grow to about 10 cm, pinch them promptly to encourage side branches to grow and produce more flowers.

Jasmine blooms on new branches, so branches that have already bloomed should also be shortened promptly to encourage more side branches and more flower buds.

To grow jasmine, remember plenty of water, plenty of fertilizer, and plenty of sun

But you still need to base it on your own actual situation

This way you can grow extremely beautiful jasmine
