I. Mango potted planting preparation
For me, I still prefer to take the embryo out of it. For potted mango, the soil requirement is to choose loam or sandy loam with deep soil layer, low groundwater level, rich organic matter and good drainage.
You can dig it out with a knife, be careful not to hurt your hand.
2. Before removing the embryo from the mango pit, be sure to clean off the flesh and rinse it thoroughly, then it will be very easy to open the whole mango.
3. The obtained mango embryo can then be planted in a pot. The soil here is a very loose mix of peat soil and perlite, with some decomposed wood shavings added, very loose.
4. The embryo does not need to be completely buried in the soil. Before planting, you can soak it briefly in room-temperature water, which will make it easier to sprout.
5. After planting, you can spread some small gravel on the surface, which will also make it look better.
II. Seed potted plant care
1. Potting soil
If you want to mix your own soil for cultivation, you can choose a mix of leaf mold, garden soil and river sand, which becomes a very loose, well-drained sandy soil, very suitable for growing mango.
2. Care notes
When planting, the pointed end of the embryo should face downward, which can prevent small insects from eating the embryo and also protect the seed.
Place it in a warm, slightly moist place, where it can get a little scattered light.
If the environment is too dry, spray water appropriately to maintain higher ambient humidity, and the temperature is best above 15 degrees.
Generally, it will sprout in about a week, growing small brown leaves, and as the leaves slowly grow they will turn green, which is really quite lovely.
If you plant it in the soil together with its shell, it has yet another kind of charm.

Mango is a tropical fruit, so the care environment naturally needs to stay warm. In winter, the minimum temperature should be above 10 degrees, and above 15 degrees is even better.
