This flower is called Endless Summer, a truly outstanding variety of hydrangea, with large blooms, vivid colors and a long flowering period. It looks fresh and dreamy, and compared with ordinary hydrangeas it tolerates lower temperatures better and is easier to grow. It is an excellent choice as a potted plant at home, and is deeply loved by many flower enthusiasts.

To keep a potted Endless Summer at home blooming abundantly with vivid colors, the following care points need attention:

1. Endless Summer is a short-day plant that prefers warm, semi-shaded conditions. Too much direct sun or too shady a spot will both result in poor flowering.

For home potting, daily light exposure should be no less than 3 hours, but it should not be grown in full sun either. It is best kept in a spot that receives 5 hours of dappled light each day, with no need to move the pot.

2. Endless Summer has fleshy fibrous roots, so overwatering easily causes root rot, yet it normally needs to keep the soil moist, and the leaves tend to wilt as soon as it dries out slightly. For regular watering we can use the bottom-watering method, or we can spread a layer of water-retentive sphagnum moss on the soil surface.

In addition, water frequently in spring and summer, but do not water during the hottest part of the day to avoid scorching. Now that summer has arrived, it is best to water in the early morning and evening when temperatures are lower.

3. To keep Endless Summer blooming continuously, you still need to fertilize! It is now in its peak growing season, so you can add a little liquid fertilizer each time you water, mixing it at a slightly lower concentration than stated in the instructions. At the same time, spray a foliar fertilizer once a week. When midsummer arrives in July, you can stop fertilizing or apply a very dilute liquid fertilizer.

Endless Summer blooms very profusely when in flower, and one great advantage is that both old wood and new wood can bloom. Even branches that have already flowered that year can bloom again as long as they have enough nutrients. So throughout the year, apart from extremely cold weather, Endless Summer can basically bloom continuously through all four seasons; keep one at home and you will have flowers to enjoy all year.
