Don't throw away watermelon rinds - process them this way for great results in growing flowers

The weather is getting hotter and hotter now, and gradually everyone will start eating watermelon. Eating a bite of cool watermelon in the hot weather is truly refreshing. After eating watermelon, most people basically just throw it away, which for flower growers is absolutely a waste. Using watermelon rinds to make flower fertilizer is absolutely first-rate, so below we will introduce in detail how to make watermelon rinds into flower fertilizer.
First, collect the watermelon rinds after eating, then use a spoon to remove the red flesh, keeping only the white rind, because the watermelon flesh contains some sugar, and if the flesh ferments successfully and is used to water flowers, it may attract insects to the flowers and plants.
Then cut the watermelon rinds into dice. After cutting, put them into a sealed container, then add some water, but do not fill it too full, because during fermentation it will release some water, and if the container is too full it will affect its breathing. Also do not screw the lid on too tightly, otherwise it may cause an explosion. Because it gives off a foul smell during fermentation, you can add some orange peel, which will reduce the odor.
After preparing it, place it in an environment with plenty of sunlight. Basically, fermentation will succeed in about a week. When you see that the water inside is already higher than the watermelon rinds, you can dilute the watermelon water with clean water. Do not use only clean water; if the concentration is too high it will burn the roots. The watermelon rinds can be buried at the bottom of the pot, but do not let them touch the roots, otherwise it will burn the roots. That will also be a very good fertilizer.
So don't throw away leftover watermelon rinds - how great they are for growing flowers! Watermelon rinds contain a large amount of water and protein, and in addition also contain nutrients necessary for growing flowers, including phosphorus, calcium, and nitrogen. They can be called a capable assistant for growing flowers.
Composting fertilizer
1. Collect the leftover watermelon rinds, then cut them into small pieces. Remember, the smaller you cut them, the shorter the time needed to compost the fertilizer.
2. Put the chopped watermelon rinds into a large container, then cover the top with a layer of plastic wrap.
Because a large amount of gas is released during fermentation, you can poke several small holes in the plastic wrap.

3. Place it in the sunlight and let it fully ferment under the sun. In about a month, the watermelon rinds will fully rot.
4. After fermentation is complete, the resulting liquid can be mixed with about 6 to 8 times its amount of water. After dilution, use it as liquid fertilizer, and the filtered residue can be directly buried at the bottom of the pot as a base fertilizer for flowers and plants.
5. The fertilizer obtained by this method has already fully decomposed, so it can be used with complete peace of mind.
Preparing soil
For flowers that like acidic soil, such as azaleas, you can use the power of watermelon rinds to prepare perfect, fertile acidic soil yourself.
1. Prepare a relatively large flower pot as a container, and first spread a layer of about 5 cm of garden soil in it;
2. Wash the leftover watermelon rinds and cut them into small pieces, spread them on top of the garden soil, with a thickness of about 10 cm;
3. Repeat the above two steps, then completely seal the container with plastic wrap;
4. Wait until the watermelon rinds have completely rotted, then thoroughly and evenly mix the contents of the container. This is the finished acidic soil.
5. When using this kind of soil, note that because the soil already has sufficient fertility, you can completely avoid fertilizing it for a very long time.
