Growing flowers is great, but there is one big problem: they easily attract bugs, and you have to battle all these messy pests, all kinds of little black bugs, little white bugs and ants. Ants are a bit easier to deal with.

In the past, my yard was covered with ants everywhere. I used the sprayer I use for spraying pesticide in the crop fields, spraying dichlorvos on average once a week, and it still did not work. On someone's recommendation I bought a kind of poison called Mayi Qing (Ant Clear). You put the poison where the ants pass by, and one ant that eats it can pass it on to many more ants. I have used it for several years now, and to this day I cannot see a single ant in my home.

The housekeeper will now share a few more little pest-repelling tricks with everyone. First is getting rid of aphids, and it is clean and pollution-free.

1. Prepare a 500ML plastic bottle, 2 bottle caps of white vinegar and 5 drops of dish soap, pour them into the bottle and shake well, then aim directly at the bugs on the flowers and plants and spray. After a few sprays you will see obvious results.

2. Sticky cardboard

It is especially simple to use. Just open the sticky cardboard and place it in areas where mosquitoes and bugs appear more often. Although it treats the symptoms and not the root cause, the effect is still quite good.

Tobacco shreds

1. Pull the tobacco out of 5 unsmoked cigarettes. Too little and it will have no effect.

2. Soak in water for 48 hours, filter the tobacco water and put it into a small spray bottle, then spray hard at the spots with bugs.

3. After 1 day, most of the aphids on the flowers and plants will be wiped out. Spray a few more times and they will all be gone. It can also be diluted and used to drench the roots, and it can kill the eggs and larvae of fungus gnats.

Huahushen

1. Mix Huahushen at a ratio of 1:200.

2. Put it into a spray bottle and spray it at the places with more scale insects. Make sure all visible scale insects are sprayed with the solution.

3. After about 1 week, spray once more. After about 2~3 times, it can be completely eradicated.

4. Huahushen is a broad-spectrum pesticide. Common scale insects, aphids and so on can all be treated with Huahushen, but if Huahushen is used too much, resistance can develop, so it is best to use it alternately with other insecticides.
