Succulents need a thorough watering once every half month when thirsty; crystal-clear and translucent is the best state.

Succulent plants look cute, quiet, and chubby, like little babies, very adorable. Because there are so many types of succulents and they look so well-behaved, many people are willing to bring a few pots home. Balconies, desks, next to computers, anywhere works. A few glances, intentional or not, relieve fatigue and lift your mood.

One, check whether it is lacking water

When growing succulents, there is a common misconception: seeing that they hold enough moisture, people are afraid to water them. With long-term water shortage, the plant's water content cannot be maintained, which causes the leaves to become thin, flat, and wilted. Overall, it looks droopy and listless. When watering, do not use a showerhead to spray. Water droplets falling on the leaves evaporate under strong light, and the leaves will also wilt, feeling soft and listless. So just pour water directly into the pot.

If you want the leaves to become plump, you should appropriately subject the succulents to water control. Wait until the leaves are a little soft, then water thoroughly directly. This way, the leaves will desperately absorb and store water, and the leaves will become plump and cute. But do not overdo water control, as it easily causes the leaves to shrivel and become thin, affecting their appearance.

Two, check whether the soil is breathable

The soil mix for succulents must be loose and breathable, and nutrients must be supplied sufficiently. When the soil is loose and breathable, its root system will develop well and will not rot. Combined with sufficient water and light, it will grow plump and vigorous, without stretching out leggy growth.

Three, check whether the light is sufficient

While avoiding strong light, let it get as much sun as possible. If strong light shines directly, the fleshy leaves will get sunburned, turn white, and fall off, so strong light exposure should be avoided. And if light is lacking for a long time, the succulent will grow leggy, the leaf color will become lighter, and the whole plant will look out of sorts.

Four, check whether nutrients are keeping up

Succulent plants generally do not need too many nutrients. Adding some leaf mold to the potting soil and watering with a little rice washing water is about enough. However, if the soil is too poor and lean, it is also not good for leaf growth. Add some base fertilizer or nutrient solution, and be careful not to place it too close to the main root, so as not to damage the roots.

If you pay attention to these points, your succulents will be fleshy and chubby all day long, with leaves bursting at the seams, so cute.
