Bananas are a fruit we all eat in our daily lives, but gardening friends may not yet know that banana peels can be a very good fertilizer, and the effect of using them to grow flowers is especially great.

Liquid fertilizer

Cut up the leftover banana peels, then put them in a container, fill the container with clean water, and then seal it. After soaking for a few days, use the solution inside, add water to it, and you can water the flowers with it.

Composting

When composting, you can cut the banana peels into very small pieces, then mix them into the soil, so that the banana peels will slowly decompose and become useful fertilizer for plants.

You can also layer one layer of banana peels and one layer of soil, stacking them up this way, and in this way you can also get nutrient-rich soil.

Dried banana peels

Collect the leftover banana peels, put them under the sun to bake, and after the banana peels are dry, turn them into a fine powder. This powder can be mixed directly into the soil, or mixed with water to water the potting soil.

Sowing

Before sowing, first bury banana peels deep at the sowing spot, then sow the seeds. In this way, after the seeds sprout, the banana peels will slowly decompose and then become the nutrients the plants need.

Luring and killing insects

If you think there are too many pests in the yard or garden, you can put apple cider vinegar in a container, then put banana peels into the apple cider vinegar. At night, the banana peels will give off a fragrance, causing the insects to come and fall into the container, thereby killing the insects. (This smell disappears after fermentation)
