We all know you can grow a Christmas cactus into a waterfall, but it takes a long time, plus patience, care, and the right care methods, and so on. But this flower enthusiast easily achieved the waterfall dream of Christmas cactus care with a single pipe. Let's see how it's done.

It turns out this flower enthusiast used a PVC pipe, cut small holes in it one by one, then used a large flower pot, buried the PVC pipe in the pot with soil and fixed it in place, and then added soil into the pipe as well.

Plant each branch of Christmas cactus into the soil with holes. At the beginning it doesn't look very nice because of the white pipe, but as it gradually grows and blooms, it becomes a waterfall.

The advantage of planting this way is good drainage, so the roots won't rot from too much watering, and the segment-by-segment growth also shortens the growing time.

Care tips:

When new leaf buds keep growing out, keep the soil moist. Be careful not to water too much at once, and not too little either. In spring and autumn, be sure to fertilize the Christmas cactus. It's best to use an eco-safe organic nutrient solution, diluted directly with water at 500 times, and spray it into the soil with a spray bottle.

Usually also remember to mist the Christmas cactus with water to maintain air humidity, which helps it quickly grow more new buds and develop flower buds.

As long as it is the Christmas cactus growing season, you can fertilize it. You can use well-fermented poultry and livestock manure diluted with water at 10 times and pour it onto the potting soil, or use a monopotassium phosphate solution diluted 1000 times. This can ensure the plant is sturdy, the leaves grow quickly, and there are many flowers. A waterfall is just around the corner.

The Christmas cactus is a short-day plant. If it can receive 8-10 hours of light per day, it can bloom in 2-3 months. In short, long light promotes growth, and short light time hinders growth!
