Growing habits of the small hibiscus
The small hibiscus is suitable for pot cultivation. The growing medium should be a soil with good permeability and drainage; ordinary commercial potting soil available on the market will do.
The small hibiscus likes light and needs at least 6 hours of light every day. Sufficient light ensures vigorous growth of the plant. It is often placed for viewing, such as on an indoor balcony, windowsill or other bright spot.
The small hibiscus likes fertilizer. With sufficient fertilizer, the small hibiscus grows quickly and blooms abundantly. When young, balanced fertilizer is mainly used; in early summer, fertilizer with a higher phosphorus content should be applied. The small hibiscus blooms a lot, so fertilizer consumption is also relatively high. Apply liquid fertilizer once every 1-2 weeks or so, and stop fertilizing in winter when it enters dormancy.
