Growth Habits of Fuchsia

Fuchsia prefers cool, humid environments and fears high temperatures and strong light. It can hardly endure the midsummer heat or wind and rain. Therefore, in winter it requires warmth, moisture, ample sunlight, and air circulation; in summer it requires dry, cool, and semi-shaded conditions, along with a certain level of air humidity.

Like other flowers, fuchsia needs suitable soil for growth. Fertile, loose, slightly acidic soil is best, and it should preferably be rich in humus and well-drained.

In summer, when the temperature reaches30°C, growth becomes extremely slow,35°C, it withers and dies in large numbers. In winter, the temperature should not be lower than5°C; if it falls below5°C, it is prone to frost damage.

The Blooming Period of Fuchsia

4~12month.
