Growing habits of broadleaf lady palm
Broadleaf lady palm prefers a warm, humid, well-ventilated, semi-shaded environment. It does not tolerate waterlogging, is extremely shade-tolerant, fears strong sunlight, and is slightly cold-tolerant, able to withstand low temperatures of around 0°C.
The most suitable growing temperature is 10~30°C. When the temperature is above 34°C, the leaf edges scorch and growth stalls. If the overwintering temperature drops below 5°C, it is prone to frost damage, and wind, frost, rain and snow are what it fears most.
Broadleaf lady palm has a relatively small plant form and grows slowly, but its water and fertilizer requirements are fairly strict. It needs to be planted in loose, acidic soil, with a certain level of air humidity and soil moisture maintained.
