An introduction to the sundew
The sundew is a plant that likes relatively moist places; watersides or moist meadows are where it often grows. The sundew is rich in color, and its leaf surfaces bear glandular hairs that can secrete mucus; it blooms with white or red flowers.
Because of these glandular hairs on the sundew's leaves, it can secrete mucus that looks just like beads of dew, crystal clear. This mucus can stick to insects like sticky paper, and then digest and absorb them.
The growth habits of the sundew
The sundew has relatively strict requirements for its growing environment; it fears both cold and heat, and is not suited to surviving in cold or hot places.
