Rosemary's growing habits
Rosemary likes a warm, humid environment; it grows slowly when the temperature is high, and grows faster in winter when the weather is clear and there is no cold snap.
Rosemary has many leaves, and they are leathery, so it is fairly drought-tolerant; keeping the soil slightly moist is enough to meet its water needs. But the soil it is planted in should be well drained, which is better for its growth.
Also note that in a natural environment, rosemary of many years' growth is a shrub, but potted rosemary at home has a smaller plant form and grows slowly, so it is hard to see it become woody.
Rosemary's flower meaning
Rosemary's flower meaning is remembrance and commemoration.
Rosemary is a symbol of love, loyalty and friendship, and its flower meaning is remembrance, as if saying: I will not forget the promise you gave me; please keep your love for me forever, miss me, remember me.
Abroad, rosemary has another use: at funeral ceremonies, Italians throw small sprigs of rosemary into the grave of the deceased, representing remembrance of the dead.
