Bronchial asthma encompasses various types of asthma. Aside from individual allergies to certain foods, most bronchial asthma patients do well eating foods that clear heat and moisten the lungs, vegetables and fruits rich in vitamin A and C, and foods rich in protein. Some folk remedies can also be used as part of a dietary regimen to enhance the effects of food therapy and drug therapy. Of course, general dietary precautions and restrictions also matter, such as avoiding cold and raw foods, spicy foods, gas-producing foods, and hard-to-digest foods.

Radish and Ginger Soup

Garlic, vinegar, and brown sugar can be used as a folk remedy for bronchial asthma. The method is to peel and mash the garlic, soak it in a sugar-vinegar solution for one week, then take the liquid, one tablespoon at a time. White radish slices, rock sugar, and honey can also be used as a folk remedy: simmer appropriate amounts of the three in water until soft, then eat both the radish and the liquid, once in the morning and once in the evening. White radish slices, ginger, and brown sugar can be decocted into a liquid and taken morning and evening. White radish slices and maltose left together for about half a day, then squeezed into juice and taken 2 to 3 times a day.

Appropriate amounts of maltose, honey, and scallion juice are simmered until dissolved and bottled; take one tablespoon at a time, three times a day. An appropriate amount of egg, sesame oil, and vinegar combined: fry the egg in oil until cooked, then dip it in vinegar and eat it, once in the morning and once in the evening. An appropriate amount of peanuts and rock sugar simmered in water until soft: eat the peanuts and drink the liquid, 1 to 2 times a day. Bitter apricot kernels mashed and mixed with water, then strained; add honey to the liquid and take it with boiled water, 2 to 3 times a day.

Dark Plum

Peel and core the snow pear, fill the center with Fritillaria cirrhosa powder and rock sugar, steam until cooked, and eat one in the morning and one in the evening. For the mung bean, egg, and radish soup food therapy, prepare the radish at the winter solstice: remove the head and tail of about 1500 g of red radish, slice it, string the slices together, and dry them in the shade for storage. When using, take 3 to 5 radish slices each time, 1 egg, and 6 g of mung beans, decoct for about 30 minutes, and take it, 1 dose a day, for more than one month continuously.
