Cameo

Cameo's Habits
Cameo is a succulent in the Crassulaceae family, Echeveria genus. Spring and autumn are its periods of vigorous growth.
Cameo likes a warm, dry environment with plenty of sunlight. The most suitable temperature for growth is18~25℃。
It is not cold-hardy, is drought-tolerant, and fears excessive moisture. During the growing season, water once a week.
For home care, it is usually propagated by division or cuttings. Common pests and diseases include: rust disease and root-knot nematodes.
Cameo's Care Tips
Watering: During Cameo's growing season, the potting soil should not be too wet; watering once a week is sufficient. In winter, water once a month and keep the potting soil dry. When the air is dry, sprinkle water around the plant to increase air humidity. But do not pour water on the leaves or into the leaf center, otherwise the leaves will rot very easily, affecting the plant's growth.
Repotting: Repot every spring. When repotting, replace the soil with a mix of peat and coarse sand, adding a small amount of bone meal or organic fertilizer.
Fertilizing: Fertilize once a month during the growing season, using diluted cake fertilizer water or a special organic fertilizer.
Pests and diseases: Common pests and diseases include root-knot nematodes and rust disease. Once pests are found, scrape them off promptly; in severe cases, use pesticides to spray and kill them.
Cameo's Propagation Methods
Cuttings: In late spring, cut off mature leaves and insert them into a sand bed.3They will root after a week, and once young plants grow, they can be potted up. Note that when cutting leaves, be decisive and quick, make the cut flat, and wait for the wound to dry naturally before inserting the cutting.
Division: Dividing Cameo requires certain conditions.2~3When many offsets sprout from the base of a mother plant that is several years old, the plant can be divided in spring for propagation.
Suggested planting combinations: Firestorm and Topsy Turvy.
