Echeveria 'Fenhong Taige' is also called Pink Pavilion.

Morphological Characteristics of Echeveria 'Fenhong Taige'

The stem is thick and sturdy, elongating slowly as it grows. The leaves are arranged in a rosette pattern, and the plant diameter can reach over 10 cm. The leaves are spoon-shaped, narrower at the base than at the tip, with a sunken line running down the middle of each leaf from the tip to the base.

The leaf tips turn red under sufficient sunlight. New leaves are lighter in color, tending toward blue-white, while older leaves are darker, tending toward purple-red, possibly with dark red spots. The leaf color changes from the edges toward the base.

The leaves are covered with a thin layer of white farina; once wiped off, the leaves appear gray-green. Under strong light and large day-night temperature differences, or during low-temperature periods in winter, the leaf color turns deep red. Under weak light, the leaf color becomes light blue-green and the leaves spread open.

Growth Habits of Echeveria 'Fenhong Taige'

Temperature: Echeveria 'Fenhong Taige' prefers a warm, dry environment with plenty of sunlight. It is slightly cold-tolerant and can still grow slowly at winter temperatures around 0°C.

Summer care: It goes dormant in summer (it can still grow slowly if the growing environment is well adapted), so water sparingly or not at all. After temperatures drop in mid-September, gradually increase watering frequency.

Care Tips for Echeveria 'Fenhong Taige'

Water: Generally water after the potting soil has dried out. Do not let water droplets fall into the center of the rosette, as this can easily cause rot.

Nutrients: Fertilize once per quarter using a slow-release succulent fertilizer.

Echeveria 'Fenhong Taige' can be propagated by stem cuttings and leaf cuttings, as well as by division. These can be done year-round.
