As the summer solstice gets closer, in southern regions, and even in some places the temperature has already reached above 30°C. In order to let the flowers at home pass through the hot summer steadily, flower lovers should know some small tips for growing flowers, learn some small tricks for growing flowers, and do a good job in some care measures for flowers, so that the flowers bloom more beautifully!

Small tips for flower care

I. Shade and cooling

1. When the summer temperature exceeds 30°C, the growth of many flowers will be affected. Cooling measures need to be taken for the flowers to prevent them from dying. A shade net can be added on an open balcony or in a courtyard; for indoor care, a blackout curtain can be added, and cooling measures should be done well.

2. Because the summer temperature keeps rising, in order to avoid the flowers being sunburned, the flowers can be moved indoors for care, and an air conditioner or fan can be used to cool the flowers.

3. There are many ways to cool flowers, and the common one is still to spray water on the leaf surface to lower the surrounding air temperature. When spraying, pay attention to using a mist sprayer to avoid forming water droplets that remain on the leaves and scorch the leaf blades.

II. Ventilation and air permeability

1. The summer temperature is very high. Although many flower lovers move their flowers into air-conditioned rooms, because air-conditioned rooms are relatively dry, many flowers placed indoors do not have high air humidity, which will cause the leaves to turn yellow. A humidifier can be used or a damp cloth can be used to wipe the leaf surface to lower the temperature.

2. The air blown out by an air conditioner is relatively dry. In order to lower the temperature, the flowers can be placed where the air conditioner can blow on them, to prevent the flower leaves from withering and turning yellow and from developing scorched conditions.

3. Although air conditioning and temperature can lower the temperature of flowers, keeping the windows closed for a long time and poor indoor air circulation can easily cause black rot disease in flowers, so windows should often be opened for ventilation, and at night the flowers can be moved to an outdoor balcony.

III. Pay attention to watering

1. Because the summer temperature is relatively high, do not choose to water at noon, so as to avoid direct sunlight raising the temperature of the potting soil and causing the flowers to rot at the roots.

2. Because the potting soil temperature is relatively high in summer, freshly drawn tap water should not be used to water flowers, so as to avoid a sudden drop in temperature, which irritates the plant root system and causes the flowers to stop growing. The water can be left to sit for a while, and when the water temperature is about the same as room temperature, it can be used for watering.

3. Flowers with many leaves will have relatively high transpiration. In order to meet the growth needs of the flowers, it is necessary to water more in summer; the watering temperature can be one third more than usual.

Many flowers bloom in summer. When growing flowers, flower lovers must pay attention to grasping the techniques of flower growing, pay attention to shading and cooling the flowers, and do a good job in watering and ventilation for the flowers, which can prevent the flower leaves from turning yellow and allow them to bloom more beautifully!
