Water succulents thoroughly once every half month when they are thirsty; the best state is when they are so plump they are about to burst

Succulent plants look cute, quiet, and chubby, like a little baby, very adorable. Because there are many kinds of succulents and they look well-behaved, many people are willing to take a few pots home. Balconies, desks, and computer sides can all be places to put them. A casual glance at them now and then relieves fatigue and makes you feel happy.

1. Check whether they are short of water

When growing succulent plants, there is a misunderstanding: people see that they have enough water and do not dare to water them. With long-term water shortage, the plant's water content cannot be maintained, which causes the leaves to become thin, narrow, and wilted. Overall, it looks droopy and listless. When watering, do not use a shower head to spray. If water droplets land on the leaves and evaporate under strong light, the leaves will also wilt and feel limp and listless. So, just pour the water directly into the flowerpot.

If you want the leaves to become plump, you should properly control the water for the succulents. Wait until the leaves are a little soft, then water thoroughly directly. In this way, the leaves will desperately absorb and store water, so the leaves will become plump and cute. But do not control water excessively, as it easily causes the leaves to dry out and become thin, affecting their appearance.

2. Check whether the soil is breathable

The soil mix for succulent plants must be loose and breathable, and nutrients must be supplied sufficiently. When the soil is loose and breathable, its root system will develop well and will not rot. Combined with sufficient water and light, it will grow plump and energetic, without leggy growth.

3. Check whether the light is sufficient

While avoiding strong light, let them get as much sunlight as possible. If strong light shines directly, the fleshy leaves will be sunburned, turn white, and fall off, so strong light exposure should be avoided. If light is lacking for a long time, the succulents will grow leggy, the leaf color will become lighter, and the whole plant will look out of sorts.

4. Check whether nutrients are keeping up

Succulent plants generally do not need too many nutrients. Add some leaf mold to the potting soil and water with some rice-washing water or similar, and that is about enough. However, if the soil is too poor and lean, it is also not good for leaf growth. Add some base fertilizer or nutrient solution, and be careful not to place it too close to the main root, so as not to damage the roots.

If you pay attention to these points, your succulents will be fleshy and chubby all day long, with leaves so plump they are about to burst. So cute.
