In spring the air is fairly dry, and many flower lovers like to spray water on their flowers to make them grow more lush and to clean the leaf surfaces. But some flowers, if you spray water on their leaves, will develop rotten leaves and rotten cores, and in severe cases will simply die on you! Come and see which flowers you must not spray water on the leaves of!

Don't spray water on wax begonia, or the leaves may rot!

Yang Hua Da Quan

The leaves of wax begonia have many fine hairs, and if you spray water on the leaves, the hairs block the water so it cannot evaporate in time, which causes water to collect on the leaves and rot them.

You can spray water into the surrounding air to

raise the air humidity, but do not spray water directly on the leaves!

Don't spray water on gloxinia, or the leaves may rot!

Yang Hua Da Quan

The leaves of gloxinia also have dense hairs, and spraying water directly on the leaves will also cause the leaves to rot.

When flower lovers water gloxinia,

try to use a fine-spout watering can and water along the edge of the pot

, and don't get water on the leaves.

Don't spray water on clivia, or the core may rot!

Yang Hua Da Quan

Spraying water on clivia leaves easily washes dust and dirty water from the leaves into the middle part of the plant, causing the core to rot, especially during clivia's bud stage, when spraying water on the middle leaves very easily causes the flower buds to rot.

Flower lovers can

wipe the leaves with a soft cloth dipped in clean water

, which can also moisturise and clean the leaves.

Don't spray water on cyclamen, or the leaf buds may rot!

Yang Hua Da Quan

Cyclamen's leaf buds are afraid of water, and if you spray water directly on cyclamen leaves, it will cause the leaf buds to rot. If cyclamen is in its flowering period, don't spray water on the petals either, otherwise once the flowers rot it will be too late to regret it.

Huahua suggests you can

place a basin of water next to the cyclamen

, or simply

spray water on the ground near the cyclamen

, which can also raise the air humidity without causing rotten flowers or rotten buds!

Don't spray water on African daisy, or the flower buds may rot!

Yang Hua Da Quan

African daisy's flower buds are also very afraid of water. To avoid the flower buds rotting from contact with water, flower lovers should try not to spray water on the leaves.

When watering African daisy, don't let water touch the centre of the leaves; if

water does touch them, gently wipe it off with a soft cloth.

Don't spray water on cactus, or the ball may rot!

Yang Hua Da Quan

Some flower lovers feel that cactus is covered in dust and that wiping it with a cloth is inconvenient, so they pick up a spray bottle and spray water on the cactus. The cactus does get clean, but it may very well rot!

Cactus is very drought-tolerant, and too much spraying actually makes it prone to rotting. If flower lovers accidentally spray too much water, they should

move it outdoors to a well-ventilated place in time to speed up the evaporation of water

, to prevent rot from too much water!

Flower lovers should be careful when spraying water on flowers.
