A banana tree can bear over a thousand fruits, yet it is a good-looking fruit that does not taste good

Recently there were reports of a banana tree in Machong, Dongguan that could bear 1000 bananas. Is that really true? After looking at the bananas below, you won't find it strange anymore.
In fact, that is just one variety of banana. If you have been to various places in Southeast Asia, you can find traces of it. You won't see it in the north, because it is a tropical fruit.
(Only good for looking at, none of them taste good, even monkeys would be unhappy looking at them)
1. The tropical fruit "thousand-layer banana"
The thousand-layer banana, also known as the thousand-finger banana, is very common in Southeast Asia. If it does not flower and fruit, you simply cannot tell how it differs from an ordinary banana.
When it flowers, you can see a great many spicate flowers. Its flowers are layered one upon another, and there are generally more than 1000 flowers, but why can't it bear more than 1000 bananas (usually more than 900 bananas)? Because among them there are some male flowers that do not bear fruit, and when it flowers it will continue to grow, so growing 2 to 3 m is certainly no problem.
Below is a thousand-layer banana grown by a farmer in Datu Odin Sinsuat town, Maguindanao province, the Philippines. It had more than 2000 fruits, truly worthy of the name "king of bananas", but it was quickly cut down! The photo was taken by a traveler.
2. So here comes the question: does this thing taste good or not?
Actually, I can't stop you if you want to eat it. Its taste is not very good, like the wild bananas I have eaten, sour, with a bit of a bitter taste.
So it is better to just gather around and look at it!
3. Do you think the editor only knows this much? In fact, there is a lot more that you don't know!
1. Actually, a banana is not a tree. It is a perennial herbaceous plant, and in fact it belongs to the family's berries! (The editor is also wrong to use banana tree as the title, but most people think a banana is a tree)
2. The world's largest producer of bananas is India, followed by Brazil.
3. In East Africa you can buy banana beer, beer brewed from bananas. Want to drink it?
4. The world's largest consumer of bananas is Ugandans, who eat nearly 500 jin per person per year on average.
5. Banana leaves can be used to wrap food, and they give a unique fragrance. Wrapping rice and some fillings in them is especially delicious.
6. Around the world, bananas are one of the four most important agricultural crops, the others being wheat, rice and corn.
7. Bananas are radioactive (which can be ignored). They have a high potassium content and are very good for hypokalemia and anemia.
8. Banana flowers can be eaten. Cooked together with mung beans and beef, or made into pickles, they are very appetizing.
9. After a banana bears fruit, you can cut off the entire plant, and suckers will grow out, otherwise it will not bear fruit again
