With the arrival of May, quite a few wild fruits in rural areas have begun to ripen. I believe that friends who have lived in rural areas have more or less eaten some wild fruits. These wild fruits are not only delicious but also highly nutritious, and quite a few wild fruits even have higher nutritional value than ordinary fruits, so they are increasingly welcomed by people, which has also caused their prices to rise year by year. Below, the author introduces a rare wild fruit, and this wild fruit is exactly like that; many farmer friends are reluctant to eat it.

In the rural mountainous areas, many wild plants grow, and some wild plants also bear wild fruits. When the author went into the mountains this morning, he saw that many wild fruits had already formed, but one kind of wild fruit caught the author's attention. Surely many friends who live in rural areas have eaten mulberries. Mulberries are especially delicious and also rich in nutrients; after eating them, they can also supplement the nutrients the body needs. The wild fruit the author encountered today is very similar to mulberries, but it is longer than mulberries, looking just like a "caterpillar" growing on the tree, and the whole tree is covered with "caterpillars."

After asking nearby farmer friends, the author learned that this wild fruit is called long-fruited mulberry (long mulberry), a new type of fruit introduced and planted by a fellow villager from Taiwan, China. Long-fruited mulberry not only has the appearance of mulberries, but its nutritional value is also slightly higher than that of mulberries, and it tastes sweeter than honey. In addition, long-fruited mulberry is also rich in nutrients such as vitamin A, B1, B2, C, iron, and calcium. It can not only be eaten directly but can also be made into foods such as jam and candied fruit, so its use value is quite high.

When the author asked about the price of long-fruited mulberry, the fellow villager who grows long-fruited mulberry said that the value of long-fruited mulberry is still relatively expensive compared with mulberries, about 10 times that of mulberries, so it can truly be called a rare fruit. The fellow villager said that with the arrival of May Day, quite a few city people also come to the countryside to visit, and it just happens that the long-fruited mulberry orchard is opened for them to pick, and in one day they can earn over a thousand yuan, so long-fruited mulberry can also be considered their "money tree."

It is precisely because the price of long-fruited mulberry is so high that many farmer friends who grow long-fruited mulberry are reluctant to eat this wild fruit and keep it all for making money.

The author also tasted one long-fruited mulberry and said that this wild fruit really tastes very good, but the price is really too expensive; I do not know whether it is the same in outside markets.

Dear friends, do you know about long-fruited mulberry? Welcome to leave comments and exchange ideas.
