More and more people enjoy growing and admiring flowers, which enriches their leisure time, decorates the home environment, and fills life with vitality. This plant has extremely strong climbing ability and can climb a 10-meter-high wall in one year, instantly growing into a giant flower wall! It is truly spectacular and beautiful!

Bougainvillea, also known as paper flower, comes in many flower colors. Its blooms are very distinctive, small and lovely. In southern China it is often planted in courtyards and parks; in the north it can also be grown as an indoor potted plant, with a strong ornamental effect.

Bougainvillea has strong adaptability to its environment, vigorous vitality and rapid growth. When planted in the ground, its climbing ability is very strong; it will keep climbing up along a wall or railing, and can quickly cover the wall, forming a mass of red flowers and green vines that is very beautiful.

Bougainvillea likes ample light and needs more than 8 hours of light per day to bloom smoothly and increase the number of blooms. If grown as a potted plant, it is recommended to place it on a terrace, where ample light is more conducive to its growth.

Bougainvillea is fairly drought-tolerant. When watering, follow the principle of preferring dry over wet. It fears waterlogging, so if grown in a pot, the soil must have good permeability, otherwise water accumulates easily and roots rot.

For bougainvillea grown indoors, because of its fast growth rate and the limited indoor space, proper pruning is necessary to prevent the branches and leaves from growing leggy and to make its appearance more attractive.

If grown outdoors with limited space, it can be allowed to grow freely, which also looks very beautiful. During the bud stage, a monopotassium phosphate solution can be sprayed on it to temporarily supplement nutrients, prolong the flowering period and increase the number of blooms.

Bougainvillea is also very easy to propagate. Cut off a branch and insert it into the soil; under suitable temperatures, it will take root in about 20 days.
