How to make Clivia root fastest? Practical methods shared

Flowers & Gardening 0 views
There are mainly four methods for making Clivia root quickly. The first is called the "water soaking method", using water and sugar water to soak it. The second is called the "medication soaking method", using vitamin B12 to soak it. The third is the "air drying method", placing it in a ventilated spot for about five or six hours. The last one is the "warming method", which, as the name suggests, means raising the temperature to about 35 degrees.

1. Water soaking method

This one is relatively simple, and the success rate is higher. Step one, place the plant's seedling stem in a cool, shady spot for about ten days. Then, remove the excess pseudobulb and put it in water, soaking for two or three days. After that, use sugar water at a concentration of 2 to 5 percent to soak the part about 1 cm below the plant's seedling stem. After a whole day, take it out, wash it clean, and then insert it for cuttings; it will easily grow roots.

2. Medication soaking method

This method is similar to the previous one, only it uses medication. You can choose a vitamin B12 solution, add enough water to dilute it. Then, put the part below the stem into it for about five minutes, then take it out. This helps speed up root growth. Also, you can put it in a potassium permanganate solution at a concentration of 0.2 to 0.5 percent. The soaking time needs to be longer, about a whole day or so. Besides helping root growth, it can also prevent rot. There are also many other options available, such as rooting powder, which will not be introduced one by one here.

3. Air drying method

First you have to cut off the seedling stem, then place it in a ventilated spot for about five or six hours. When the cut is almost dry, you can carry out water culture. Doing this makes roots grow faster and increases the survival rate.

4. Warming method

This method is easy to understand; simply put, it means raising the temperature. For plants grown in water culture, if the temperature is above 35 degrees, roots are most likely to grow. Some professional cultivation sites use hotbed cultivation, which uses this method. If conditions at home allow, you can also try this method.
