How to grow a money tree so its leaves stay greener? Practical care tips to share
1. Sunlight
It really likes sunlight and needs a fair amount of it, and it must not stay in a hidden spot for long. So when you usually place it, the leaf surface should face the sunlight, otherwise the growth form of the branches and leaves will be affected. At the same time, spray a suitable amount of water on the leaves every 3 to 5 days, so the branches and leaves look more beautiful.
2. Watering
Watering also has a big effect on its leaves. If the amount of water is too little, the branches and leaves will stop growing; if the amount of water is too much, the roots will rot and it will die. So the amount of water needs to be just right to promote the growth of branches and leaves. When watering, you need to check the condition of the potting soil; it must not be too dry, and it should be kept moist at all times. Especially in summer, the amount of water should be even more sufficient, but in winter the amount of water can be slightly reduced.
3. Fertilizing
The money tree quite likes fertilizer and also has a large demand for it, so every year when repotting, set the ratio of fertilizer soil at one third or even higher. For collecting fertilizer soil, use leaf mold soil as the main part, and add a small amount of garden soil and soybean cake residue mixed in. This can not only improve fertilizer efficiency, but is also convenient and easy to obtain; however, the fertilizer must be fully decomposed before use to prevent fertilizer burn. In addition, during its growing season, fertilize once every 15 days to ensure sufficient nutrients.
4. Temperature and humidity
It has extremely high requirements for temperature and humidity. If the temperature and humidity are too low, it will start dropping leaves, and in severe cases all the leaves on the whole plant will fall off, which not only loses its ornamental value but also easily causes the plant to die. So when growing it, the temperature is best kept above 15 degrees, and spray water on the leaf surface often to increase humidity. Also, in late autumn, do the work of keeping it warm in advance to prevent it from freezing.
