More and more people now like to keep some plants at home, and succulents are one of the most popular green plants, because when grown well they really do look adorable, and for many succulent varieties, having multiple heads and growing in clusters greatly increases their ornamental value and completeness. So how should you go about it to make this effect happen faster?

1. The simple and brutal method: chop once

Directly cut off the growth point at the top of the succulent to remove the plant's apical dominance and reduce the place where it mainly consumes nutrients, so that the growth points at the bottom burst out rapidly and achieve the effect of multiple heads and clustering. (It is generally recommended to leave two or three layers of leaves at the bottom, as this gives the best effect. Because the photos on my phone were deleted and I could not find a suitable one, I will use the picture above as a demonstration.)

2. Leaf propagation

Select healthy leaves for leaf propagation, because there is no apical dominance in leaf propagation, so the probability of producing multiple heads is still quite high.

3. Topping and pinching out the growing tip

Actually, topping and pinching out the growing tip is similar to the first method of chopping once, just a relatively gentler and more conservative approach. The principle is the same: remove apical dominance so that the growth point at the pinched area has enough nutrient supply, sprouts multiple heads, and achieves the clustering effect.

4. Leaf removal

Remove a few leaves from the bottom to free up space, which gives the growth points at the bottom a chance to sprout, thereby achieving the effect of multiple heads and clustering.

There is also the option of doing nothing at all and waiting for the plant to grow naturally, which also has a chance of producing multiple heads and clustering.
