Now the main text begins:
Suddenly thunder rumbled and the rain poured down. My dear husband rarely showed concern about my succulents: "Oh, it's raining hard! Won't your treasures get damaged by the rain?" Although I was touched and grateful, I still leisurely scrolled through my WeChat Moments and calmly replied: "It's fine, the succulents I raise are tough and can withstand wind and rain. If you want, you can help me carry them back inside, and I won't object." Of course, he pretended not to hear that last sentence, so I just let the succulents fully enjoy the sweet dew bestowed by heaven.
Why am I so at ease? Naturally, it comes down to the outdoor growing environment and soil mix that succulent lovers always talk about! First, my succulents are grown on the rooftop terrace, with full sun, and the ventilation is naturally excellent. Second, there is the soil mix. My home is in the free-shipping region with humid air. I want the succulents to grow fast without being prone to black rot, so I put a layer of ceramsite at the bottom of the pot to increase air permeability and water retention. The soil ratio is about half granular and half peat soil, with a top layer of rainbow stone as top dressing to prevent the leaves from touching the soil and causing bacterial black rot. When watering, excess water drains directly from the bottom of the pot, so there is no standing water, and naturally no fear of rain. Now please enjoy the graceful and varied elegance of the succulents in the rain!
I picked it up at a nearby greenhouse last winter for ten yuan including the pot. Don't ask why it was so cheap. I'll tell you secretly: at the time it was gray and leggy, in one word, "ugly." I took it reluctantly because I liked the pot, but unexpectedly it made a perfect comeback.
This one was also picked up for ten yuan including the pot. After repotting and controlled growing, it has also transformed greatly.
Planted a week ago, just established, and lucky enough to enjoy a refreshing shower.
Also planted a week ago and only just established
A lazy person's mixed hodgepodge
This Aeonium was also picked up at the same greenhouse last winter for five yuan including the pot, also because I liked this kettle-shaped pot. At the time it was gray-black with a hint of green, simply too ugly to look at! Fortunately I took it, and now Cinderella has made a perfect comeback into a princess.
This is the payment rewarded by the village chief. So beautiful!
Jelly Echeveria, always changing clothes, with ever-changing colors!
Don't think that just because I'm called Black Prince I have to grow black! Hmph!

This one was also picked up for five yuan including the pot. At the time it could only be described in three words: "leggy," "green," "ugly." After buying it and repotting and controlling its growth, all the sparse leaves were pulled off for leaf propagation, and the new leaves began to grow compactly and gradually started to color up.
Just established
This is the same pot as the first one. It had just adapted to the new environment in my home after repotting during the Spring Festival, and had not colored up yet.
