Zhang Liangchen: Many groups need to do a good job in the prevention and treatment of pneumoconiosis

Many people still believe that only silicosis is occupational pneumoconiosis. In fact, in all rock mining, grinding and other sites, pottery-making sites, and metal processing sites, people are prone to developing occupational pneumoconiosis, such as workplaces for mining, making or carving natural stone such as granite and marble, for example mica pneumoconiosis, aluminum pneumoconiosis, potter's pneumoconiosis, electric graphite pneumoconiosis, foundry worker's pneumoconiosis, etc. There are also coal mines, cement plants, cotton, and even farmers, all of whom can develop pneumoconiosis because of long-term exposure through breathing.
Pneumoconiosis
At present, among the legally defined types of pneumoconiosis in our country, there are already twelve kinds, namely coal worker's pneumoconiosis, silicosis, aluminum pneumoconiosis, talc pneumoconiosis, carbon graphite pneumoconiosis, mica pneumoconiosis, welder's pneumoconiosis, cement pneumoconiosis, potter's pneumoconiosis, foundry worker's pneumoconiosis, cement pneumoconiosis, and electric graphite pneumoconiosis. In fact, there are also farmer's lung, byssinosis, and so on. At present, most are inorganic pneumoconiosis caused by inhaling inorganic dust in labor and production settings.
In terms of symptoms, in the early stage of pneumoconiosis, generally because dust is felt during breathing, or because there is no sensation and the respiratory tract develops a conditioned reflex, coughing occurs, and sputum with a powdery appearance is coughed up. There is also discomfort in the respiratory tract, often a feeling that something is pressing on the airways such as the throat, and some have chest pain. In the early stage, simple pneumoconiosis does not have very strong respiratory tract reactions. When there are other conditions in the upper respiratory tract or lungs, a more serious case of pneumoconiosis will be found during examination.
Causes of pneumoconiosis
Having regular physical examinations is the best means and method for discovering and preventing the occurrence of pneumoconiosis. Therefore, if the industry you work in has floating particles such as dust and fine particles, such as garment factories, carpet-making workers, pet hospital staff, etc., and also public and not very clean workplaces or living environments such as shopping malls, you should be alert to pneumoconiosis. When coughing continues after being in these places for a long time, you should undergo physical examinations and other checks, and actively prevent and treat pneumoconiosis.
