What fertilizer is best for asparagus fern? Fertilization methods and precautions
I. Cake fertilizer
Cake fertilizer is the residue left after oilseed seeds are pressed for oil. It can be used directly as fertilizer, and there are many types, mainly depending on what kind of seed was pressed for oil. This kind of fertilizer is quite important for plants, so it is very suitable for us to apply to them in daily care, which can make them grow very well. This fertilizer is generally applied once every ten days, and do not apply too much each time.
II. Liquid fertilizer
This kind of fertilizer is liquid; it is made by mixing organic or chemical fertilizer with water, and then it is directly sprinkled on the leaves or roots of the asparagus fern, so it is absorbed relatively quickly. The ratio of this fertilizer is 1:15, and before applying it, the soil should be slightly dry, so absorption will be relatively quick.
III. Slow-release fertilizer
Because this plant is relatively suited to indoor ornamental use, it looks rather small and delicate, so clean and hygienic fertilizer should be used rather than heavy fertilizer. Slow-release fertilizers on the market contain a certain amount of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, and some nutrients are wrapped inside a coating and released slowly; each application can be effective for as long as four to twelve months. Moreover, its fertilizer is relatively mild, and both clean and hygienic. Most importantly, its fertilizer release is only related to temperature, so it is very suitable for everyone to use on asparagus fern, and after one application there is basically no need for much management.
IV. Inorganic compound fertilizer
Ordinary compound fertilizer based mainly on nitrogen and potassium is also acceptable, but do not use too much at one time, otherwise it may cause root burn.
