- Flower cuttings -
Using plastic bottles for cuttings is really so convenient. Many flower growers use vermiculite as a cutting medium, drill a few holes in the bottom, and place it in a tray with water, and the rooting rate is much higher. Using a plastic bottle not only saves space, but also lets you see how the roots are growing, making it very suitable for cuttings.

- Succulent leaf cuttings -
Succulent leaf cuttings are actually not difficult, but many flower growers find that after planting the leaves, watering too much causes a batch to rot. So some flower growers invented a method of water-induced rooting, which is to use plastic bottles for leaf cuttings.
Quite a few people find it a bit inconvenient, and after rooting and sprouting it's hard to take them out. You can cut a triangular hole, which makes it easier to take them out. Or make the hole a bit bigger and push the succulent leaf in a little further.
Another advantage is that after one leaf has rooted, you take it out and swap in the next leaf. Vertical leaf cuttings are quite fun too.

- Watering bottle -
Some plants are hairy or their leaf centers can't touch water and easily rot, and some flower pots are very small, so you need a pointed watering bottle to water them. This can also be made from a plastic bottle.
Fold a piece of paper into a cone, then use a lighter to soften the bottle cap, insert the paper cone, slowly pushing it in from the center. After the bottle cap cools and hardens, cut off the tip with scissors and it's done.

Growing flowers is the simplest use. If you're up for it, you can tie on some hemp rope, or add a bit of color to make it look nice too.
- Growing vegetables in plastic bottles -
Using plastic bottles to sprout bean sprouts is very simple. First rinse the beans 2-3 times, add water and soak for 4-10 hours. After soaking, you can put them in the plastic bottle. Spray water 3-5 times a day, that is, once every 4-6 hours. Mung beans and soybeans should be kept in a dark place to sprout the whole time, while other vegetable seeds can be placed in a bright, ventilated place. In about a week you can eat your own sprouted seedlings.
Besides these, plastic bottles can also be used to make
air layering propagation, insulation and moisture-retention boxes
and many, many other uses!
If you like tinkering around yourself
you should keep your plastic bottles!
