Spring is the season when you really want to buy flowers; there are so many beautiful flowers. After you bring them home, one thing is especially important, and that is repotting them. The original soil in many pots is fairly compacted, so we usually switch to a loose, breathable potting mix for planting. But what do you do if you do not have potting mix? Bai Xiaomei'er shares a very simple homemade potting mix method with everyone, for reference.

Pick up a little pine needle litter by the roadside and mix it into your pots, and your flowers will bloom more and more vigorously!

1. Go to a park or some roadside spot and pick up some dry pine needles, or you can just scrape up the leaf mold soil underneath the pine needles

2. Put the pine needles you brought back under the sun and sun them for a week to disinfect them, so as to kill potential insect eggs, bacteria and so on

3. After they are sun-dried, just mix them directly into garden soil and you can use it to grow flowers; the soil will be loose and fertile, and whatever you plant will burst into bloom and fill the pot.

The unused dry pine needles can also be saved for winter and spread on the surface of the flower pots to keep potted plants warm. Friends who love growing flowers, when you see pine needles, be sure not to forget to pick them up; they are the most practical thing for growing flowers!
