Reasons Why Green Treasure Tree Leaves Curl and How to Fix It
1. Light that is too strong
1. Cause
If direct sunlight hits it and lasts for a very long time, its leaves will curl upward, and this will make the leaves unattractive.
2. Solution
First, move it to an area that direct sunlight cannot reach, and spray a little water on its leaves.
Second, in ordinary care, it prefers partially shaded areas; during the intense heat of summer you should shade it and not let sunlight shine directly on it, and direct light in spring and autumn is also bad for it, while in the depths of winter you can let it see the sun.
Third, place it in a bright area so that it can grow normally; if you place it in an area that is too dark, the time there must not exceed 50 days.
2. Lack of water
1. Cause
This tree fears dry climates; if the humidity around it is insufficient, its leaves will lack enough water and will curl.
2. Solution
You should water it right away, keeping the soil moist but without excess standing water. You can also spray leaf-surface water on it once or twice a day to lower the air temperature so that it can grow normally.
3. Unsuitable temperature
1. Cause
If it is exposed to the scorching sun during the intense heat of summer and the temperature is very high, or if it is extremely cold in the depths of winter and the temperature is below 10 degrees, its leaves will be unable to carry out normal activity and will curl up.
2. Solution
During the intense heat of summer, pay special attention to the temperature and do not let sunlight shine on it for too long. In cold winter, the temperature is best kept within the range of 15-18 degrees, and the soil should remain moist.
4. Fertilizer that is too concentrated
1. Cause
If the fertilizer is too strong and the amount of watering is not enough, its newly grown leaves will curl up.
2. Solution
You should replace its soil or wash the soil. Check whether there are insects on the leaves; the curling may be caused by insects.
