If it gets root rot, you can treat it with 1500x diluted Liangdun, and usually pay attention to the amount of watering and the temperature. If it gets branch blight, you can treat it with 1000x diluted Dingruike, and also disinfect it and apply petroleum jelly. If it gets yellowing disease, you need to use new soil to care for it.

I. Root rot

1. Symptoms

When it gets this disease, the roots of the bamboo will rot, its growth rate will slow down, the color of the leaves will become lighter, the stems will not be able to stand upright well, and in particularly severe cases, the whole plant will wither and die. Generally, once its roots are injured, it becomes prone to this disease, and the pathogen will invade starting from the wound. Especially when the soil is relatively heavy and clayey and drainage is poor, the chance of getting the disease increases greatly.

2. Treatment

First, strengthen its care. When watering it, the amount should be moderate, and there should not often be too much standing water in the pot, otherwise its roots cannot breathe normally.

Second, in the severe winter, make sure it has a temperature above 5°C, otherwise it is very likely to suffer cold damage, and the chance of root injury will increase.

Third, in the early stage of the disease, you can treat it with 1500x diluted Liangdun or other specialized medicines.

II. Branch blight

1. Symptoms

After getting the disease, its branches and leaves will fall off or wither and die. In the early stage, thread-like lesions appear on the branches, and later they gradually expand, causing its branches or leaves to fall off. Then the spots change from brown to yellowish white. This pathogen generally invades starting from its relatively thin and weak branches, and it usually occurs from July to November, when the sun is relatively strong and its branches are also relatively fragile.

2. Treatment

First, after discovering diseased branches, you can disinfect the wound with alcohol, then apply petroleum jelly to it.

Second, place it in an area with wind and light, but it must not be too dry.

Third, you can spray it with 1000x diluted Dingruike, which can effectively control the pathogen.

III. Yellowing disease

1. Symptoms

This disease often occurs during the process of growing this kind of bamboo. Its leaves will gradually fade and turn yellow, and will fall off at a light touch with a finger. In addition, the lateral roots on its roots will rot easily, and it is very difficult for new roots to grow. If the situation is severe, the whole bamboo plant will die. This disease generally occurs because of too strong or too weak light, improper watering, unrotted fertilizer, insufficient oxygen in the soil, and so on.

2. Treatment

First, wait until the soil is dry before watering. If it gets the disease during the intense heat, you can spray it with water four or five times a day, and its symptoms can be alleviated.

Second, you can use new soil to care for it, and it needs sufficient and balanced nutrients so that it will not turn yellow.
