There are already more than 250 registered Bougainvillea varieties, and over a hundred have been introduced into our country. Some of the larger botanical gardens grow several dozen varieties, while I once saw more than a hundred varieties at the Bougainvillea Park in Xiamen, which is also the place with the most Bougainvillea varieties in our country.

Bougainvillea is actually a tropical climbing plant that can cling to some trellis and grow upward. It is also suitable for viewing as a potted flower or bonsai plant, so Bougainvillea has become a very popular ornamental plant.

Some frost-free areas year-round are very suitable for growing Bougainvillea directly in the ground, without needing frequent care.
