Rhododendron, spider plant (Chlorophytum comosum), and pothos (Epipremnum aureum) stay evergreen all year round and are very elegant. However, their leaves often become withered at the tips, dry and yellow, and drop off, which not only affects their appearance but can also affect their growth. Therefore, during care, you should make reasonable adjustments and carry out scientific management according to their growth habits, so that their leaves can turn green and full of vitality. The following three methods can prevent the leaf tips from withering and turning dry and yellow, keeping the leaves bright and deep green.

1. Usually pay attention to watering and misting to keep the potting soil and the surrounding air moist. Especially in spring and autumn, because the air is dry, and these flowers all like a moist air environment, you should therefore frequently water the potting soil and the leaves and around the pot, and mist them. But watering must also be done in moderation; the potting soil must not be too dry, nor too wet. When misting, you can add an appropriate amount of nutrient solution or foliar fertilizer to the water, once every ten days. In winter, watering should be reduced; in summer, water a little more appropriately to keep the potting soil and air moist, and at the same time mist the leaves in time. The best time for watering and misting is before 8 a.m., and it is advisable to avoid spraying at noon.

2. Place the flower pot in a semi-shaded spot to prevent scorching. Although rhododendron, spider plant, and pothos need an appropriate amount of light, they are afraid of direct sunlight, and direct sunlight easily causes the leaves to wither and turn dry and yellow. During care, pay attention to the ventilation of the environment, especially in summer; stuffy, hot, humid, and unventilated conditions are the chief culprit for the occurrence of pests and diseases. Therefore, only a well-ventilated environment can ensure that the branches and leaves grow strong. At the same time, pay attention to flowers grown on south-facing and west-facing balconies; because summer sunlight is very intense, you must take measures for sun protection, cooling, and ventilation to ensure the healthy growth of the flowers.

3. You should pay attention to frequently cutting off leaves that have already withered. Withered leaves and dry yellow leaves should be cut off in time, and for some overly dense leaves, thinning pruning should also be carried out, cutting the small and keeping the large. You can also, in combination with repotting every spring or autumn, move smaller pots into larger pots for planting, and at the same time remove excess branches and leaves. In addition, to prevent the flowers from being infected by pathogens during growth, you can spray with a carbendazim solution once a month, which can reduce the occurrence of diseases such as leaf spot. This keeps the leaves in a state of deep green at all times.
