Don't rush to throw away a dying ZZ plant (Zamioculcas zamiifolia) - learn this trick and it will grow like crazy

Many plant lovers think that once spring arrives, everything is growing, and their ZZ plant should be no different, only to find that it has recently been in a very bad state, with yellowing leaves, leaf drop, root rot and so on, almost dying, and after looking at it for a while they really want to throw out the pot and plant together.
When this happens, don't rush to throw it away - give it an operation and it will come back to life, and grow even better than before.
If only the leaves and stems have turned yellow but the roots are still perfectly fine, then cut off all these stems, leaving only 3-5cm of stem above the soil.
Move the pruned ZZ plant to a cool, ventilated spot, and in about a month you will see many new stems and leaves growing out.
If the roots have already rotted and it can no longer be saved, then cut the green leaves off the stems, then tip the soil out of the pot, clean it thoroughly, then put in soil with very good air permeability, water it thoroughly, insert all these green leaves into it, and then place it in a cool spot.
In about a month, the ZZ plant leaves will grow bulbous rhizomes and long roots, and then, if there are many surviving leaves in the pot, some should be moved out and planted elsewhere, so they can grow better, and then move it outdoors to let it photosynthesise and promote its growth.
If plant lovers find this too much trouble, they can also propagate the cut stems in water: prepare several bottles, pour some water into them, put the part that roots deep into the water, then place them in a cool spot, change the water about once a week, and once the leaves have grown roots, transplant them into pots - this is a bit simpler.
