What are the methods for making homemade fertilizer for hydroponic pothos?

First, find an unused water basin, then add soil containing rotted leaves to it; the more soil, the better. Then add water to the basin, stir with a wooden stick for ten minutes, and let it sit for half an hour. The water at this point is very nutrient-rich. You can also use fermented rice-washing water to grow it, or use water from a goldfish tank to grow it; both are very nutritious.

I. Mixing a nutrient solution

1. First, find a discarded water basin or other container, then dig up some soil containing rotted leaves and put the soil in the basin. This kind of soil with rotted leaves is the best, because it has the most nutrients.

2. You can use tools such as a shovel to dig out about ten cm of soil; the more soil in the basin, the better. Then fill the basin with water, then find a stick and stir it in the water basin with the wooden stick for a while, about ten minutes.

3. Then let it sit quietly; after half an hour, you will find that the water is still a bit cloudy, but at this point the water is the most nutrient-rich. If you want clearer water, wait a while longer. Once you are satisfied with how clear the water is, you can pour out the clear water on top and use it for hydroponics.

II. Other fertilizers

1. You can also use rice-washing water; after fermenting it for half a month, pour it into the water-grown pothos, and no other fertilizer is needed. It can then grow especially well.

2. Or use water that has been used to raise goldfish to grow it; this way it can grow very robustly, and the leaves will also be more emerald green.

III. How to care for water-grown pothos in normal times

1. A plant kept in the house cannot be kept away from sunlight all the time; let it get some sun from time to time, and at the same time note that it must not be exposed to direct blazing sun. Only bright indirect light is needed, and be sure to give it ventilation.

2. If the temperature outside is relatively cold, do not open the windows often, because if it gets chilled, its leaves will turn yellow. In the depths of winter, just do not let it get too close to the radiator. With a temperature above ten degrees, it can get through the cold winter very well.
