Keep it in a shady spot for care. When grown in water it still needs fertilizer; you cannot go without any fertilizer at all. In addition, note that you cannot use tap water directly, you should not frequently move its position, and you should top up the water instead of changing it.

1. Suitable temperature

1. If you want to grow it in water and grow it well, temperature is what you must be most careful about. Its vitality is very strong, and it can survive within a very wide temperature range. But the most suitable temperature for it is 20°C. In the depths of winter it must not be lower than zero degrees, otherwise it cannot grow safely.

2. In the heat of summer, the surrounding temperature must not be higher than 35°C, otherwise its growth will become very slow. And remember to spray a little water around it to ensure the humidity is sufficient.

2. Keep it in a cool spot

If grown in water, it can only be kept indoors for care, but be careful to let it see the sun often. There is no need to specially move it to a bright spot to bask in the sun; placed in a shady spot, it can grow very well.

3. Fertilize diligently

Many friends, when growing this plant in water, really only add water to it and do not give it even a tiny bit of fertilizer. In that case it is very difficult for it to grow well. Each time you change its water, you can give it a few drops of special liquid fertilizer; the results will be even better this way.

4. Precautions for growing in water

1. You cannot directly use freshly drawn tap water, otherwise it will be harmed by chlorine; it must be left to stand for at least a day before use.

2. For growing in water, you need to choose a bamboo stalk with very complete leaves and very robust growth. Cut its stem at an angle with a sharp tool, then grow it in water 10 cm deep.

3. Newly water-grown bamboo should not be frequently moved to a different position. Wait until it has grown roots; when the water decreases, simply top it up. Do not change the water frequently, otherwise the leaves will turn yellow and wither.
