Introduction

Green plants and potted flowers are essential accents for home life. They beautify the room, freshen the air, and lift the spirit. Keeping some flowers and plants at home brings many benefits. "Flower Sound Potted Plant Diary, Issue 929" introduces several of the most worthwhile climbing rose flowers to get.

Today's star

Climbing roses are probably the most famous climbing flowers. They climb wherever they go and bloom wherever they reach, making them excellent vertical greening material, very suitable for flower walls, flower pillars, flower arches and more. There are many varieties, and many large climbing roses are not suitable for balcony potting. This issue introduces several varieties that can be potted on a balcony, are beautiful and easy to grow.

Angela

The first is called Angela. Angela basically leaves this impression on flower lovers: at first you think it is ugly and ignore it, just letting it grow wild, and in the end you are amazed by it. It is a variety you will not regret getting. Its flower form is not outstanding; its value lies in an extremely large flower volume and an ultra-long flowering period, bursting with blooms all year round. It also does not need deep soil, so it can be grown without a very large pot. To turn a balcony into a garden, you only need one Angela.

Climbing Rainbow

Climbing Rainbow, the most dazzling climbing rose, is true to its name. When it blooms, it is a riot of colors, with multiple colors on one tree, hence the name Rainbow. In fact, this is because its flower color changes, and the different blooming times of each flower cause this effect. It is very floriferous and blooms all year round in southern regions, and in northern regions it blooms in the other three seasons except winter. It is a small climbing rose, no problem for balcony potting, and very suitable for making a flower wall.

Climbing Cherry Cloud

Climbing Cherry Cloud, a Japanese rose, is similar in shape to Climbing Rainbow. It is extremely floriferous and free-blooming, and likewise produces "multiple colors on one tree." It is not as brilliant as Climbing Rainbow, but it is the fastest-growing variety, able to grow 3 meters tall in a year. If you want to use it for a flower pillar or flower wall, just one year is enough, making it extremely cost-effective. It is easy to cultivate and highly adaptable, and can even be planted in the ground in northern regions without issue.

Purple Robe and Jade Belt

In the eyes of many flower lovers, Purple Robe and Jade Belt is a must-have variety, a fine specimen among fragrant roses, like an iPhone among phones. Its flower shape is rich and noble, close to that of a peony. Its flower color is deep purple, like the purple robe of a first-rank official at court. The petals are serrated, and along the edge of the flower there is a white jade-colored border, like a jade belt encircling it, hence the name "Purple Robe and Jade Belt."

Potted Purple Robe and Jade Belt

If you do not look at the leaves and only look at the flowers, you might mistake Purple Robe and Jade Belt for a purple peony. This is where its charm lies: beautiful and fragrant. What is even more valuable is that this variety is very easy to grow and does not need deep soil. As shown in the picture above, a small flower pot can support a large tree. If you have a balcony at home, what are you still hesitating about?

Ella Pompon

There is a saying in the rose world: you can miss others, but you cannot miss Ella Pompon. Yes, it is that proud and charming. A small climbing rose, it is especially prone to sending up shoots and especially multi-headed, resistant to rain, its flower form does not easily fall apart, its flowers are relatively small, and it does not nod. Its growth rate is vigorous, becoming a large seedling in one year. It is highly malleable: you can grow it as a shrub, or let it cover the whole balcony. It is all up to you.

Space is limited, so I will introduce them here for now. The varieties above are all the most worthwhile to get: low in price, easy to cultivate, and flowering in multiple seasons. If you want to turn a balcony or courtyard into a garden, growing these is enough.
