What is the difference between the green-topped cactus and the red-topped cactus? Let us show you how to tell them apart

Flowers & Gardening 0 views
Both of these plants are more or less succulents, they look quite similar, both are quite small, and both are covered in lots of spines. So many people cannot tell them apart, but in fact they are very different: they differ in shape, in the flowers they produce, and even in their specific value. Next, let us talk about their differences in detail.

I. Shape

1. The former has a flat, round shape; it also has a spherical form, and the radius of the ball is around 10 to 12 cm, much larger than the latter, and its color is grayish green.

2. The latter has a flattened spherical stem, 3 to 4 cm in diameter, so it looks rather small, and its body color is quite varied, including many red tones, such as bright red, deep red, orange-red, pink and purplish red.

II. Flowering

1. Both will bloom, but the flowering times are different, and the way they bloom is also very different. Generally speaking, the former has quite a lot of flower colors, and also quite a lot of buds, and each flower stays open for a fairly long time, usually about a week. It blooms one after another: when one flower withers after a week, the next one opens, so overall it is continuous. 2. The latter flowers mainly in summer, and when it blooms it is not one flower at a time, but several or even a dozen or more opening together. Its flowers open during the day and close at night, and its flowering period is also somewhat longer than the former's, usually lasting many days, and it looks very beautiful.

III. Value

1. Their value also differs quite a bit. The former purifies the air and can also beautify the home; besides that, it can absorb radiation, letting us relax our eyes, and it has a relatively good effect on people's eyesight.

2. The latter has ornamental value, but its effect on radiation is not obvious. However, it has one effect the former does not have, namely medicinal value. So each has its own benefits. If you are hesitating about buying one, you can think about what you want to buy it for.
